Quotes I Like*

You could spend *all day* customizing the title bar. Believe me. I speak from experience." -- Matt Welsh

*Your mileage may vary. Some quotes are puns, or require historical or technical literacy to appreciate. If you miss the humor, please re-read the Internet and then try again.

Games

The material in this section is intended for primarily fun, although you may find some educational jewels sprinkled subtly about. The games are all original in the sense that they were conceptualized by either close friends or me, and all game pieces and prose were created by me directly. Distribution is controlled by the same license as other materials on this site.

This section contains complete instructions and most materials for the games. In many cases, you will need to print game boards, cards, or playing pieces. That's just part of the fun.

Each set of game rules includes the following sections:

  • Players - This is the recommended number of players. Feel free to try more or less. If you come up with a great adaptation, let me know.
  • Object - A brief description of how to win the game is provided here. More details will be provided later in the rules.
  • Equipment - What you need to play the game is listed. With the exception of dice, you should be able to print everything you need from what is provided.
  • Assembly and Setup - This section provides detailed instructions for creating any pieces of equipment (required or optional) associated with the game, and then explains how to arrange the equipment to start the game.
  • Rules - For most games, a complete set of rules is given here. More complex games just include a brief overview, with reference to a larger manual for details.

If you've invented a game you'd like to share, please send it to me. I'll send my playtesters to work on it, and if it's fun and practical, we'll work with you to get it in shape for publication.

Have fun!
